Call for Submissions: Reginald 2012
We invite you to be part of the 2012 Season
Following a successful inaugural season, applications are now invited for Seymour’s second Reginald Season, July-December 2012 supported by Arts NSW.
What is the Reginald?
This curated season responds to the need for small and/or emerging performance companies to have access to subsidised performance space to produce work, grow their practice and build their sustainability. It is for new companies and for those who have been around for a while. It is also a program where larger, more established companies can present exploratory work within a supported environment.
The venue is Seymour’s Reginald Theatre – 153 seats, end-on configuration
Season two will include a maximum of five different shows presenting up to 16 performances each. However, companies seeking shorter runs are also encouraged to apply. In 2012 the minimum run will be two weeks. A longer run may also be possible for the right show.
Who should apply:
• new Australian works;
• international work new to Australian audiences;
• inventive interpretations of extant work
• second seasons of productions where there is a compelling reason to re-stage a work such as artistic development
and/or audience demand. Preference will be given to re-mounts of productions that have only performed outside of
