Who is Reginald?
The Reginald Season is named after the renowned Sydney philanthropist, Mr Everest Reginald York Seymour (the dapper looking chap above, pictured in the 60s strolling down Oxford Street). Mr Seymour left over $1,000,000 when he died in 1966, “for the purpose of the construction of a building to serve as a Centre for the cultivation, education and performance of musical and dramatic arts befitting the City of Sydney”. The University of Sydney put their hand up for the task, and in 1975 opened the Seymour Centre.

Did Everest Reginald Seymour own a dairy farm in Sutton Forest called St Maur?
He definitely owned a dairy farm, but our records show it was on his Moss Vale property where he also grew potatoes for the army! What a guy!
